China-girls fly on Dirkules

Beijing - What a welcome for the German basketball star Dirk Nowitzki. When the 30-year-old ends up with colleagues in Beijing, there is no stopping it. Hundreds of Chinese people to ask the international star for his autograph, TV crews scramble around him, the girls begin to scream.
But Nowitzki makes the hysteria around him nothing. On the contrary, the players of the Dallas Mavericks enjoyed every single second in fulfilling his Olympic dream.
Especially the Olympic Village has attracted him: "I would prefer to be sitting here five hours long, and just watch who goes in and out." For the games the big guys have all shaved their heads - short hair as a challenge. "The mood aboard the plane was great. The basketball players are looking forward to huge, "said Michael Vesper, Chef de Mission of the German team.
Vesper was impressed by the number of Chinese women crowding around Nowitzki: "All the girls wanted to be photographed with Nowitzki and an autograph from him. He's done it all with very great patience. "This enthusiasm makes Nowitzki, of course, the top candidate as flag bearer of the German team. Wednesday will decide who has the honor. Nowitzki: "I would be delighted."
